OpenERP is going social with the launch of the new version 6.1.

Yes, it's that important announcement! OpenERP is excited to announce the release of its 6.1. final version. After more than a year of joint effort with our community and partners, we are proud to present the final version of OpenERP 6.1. With the new version we have developed many new features like touchscreen POS, electronic invoicing, kanban views, assets managements, etc. The performance has also been significantly enhanced through the new web client and a new architecture that can now support multi servers and multi processing.

It's fully web based so that you don't have to install or deploy any software and all the sales shops can be easily consolidated. It works in connected and disconnected modes so that you can continue to sell if you lose your internet connection.

Danone replaces SAP ERP in Argentina, Colombia and Australia

Danone replaces SAP ERP solution for open source in Colombia, Argentina and Australia, where he has immaterial subsidiaries consolidated in the market. The multinational, a major customer of the German software company, has taken this decision to reduce costs. The integration of ERP has been developed in collaboration with the company Octo Technology, according to which the new system is more flexible than SAP.
