Danone replaces SAP ERP solution for open source in Colombia, Argentina and Australia, where he has immaterial subsidiaries consolidated in the market. The multinational, a major customer of the German software company, has taken this decision to reduce costs. The integration of ERP has been developed in collaboration with the company Octo Technology, according to which the new system is more flexible than SAP.
Octo Technology says that although SAP solutions cover most of the needs of Danone, has some drawbacks because of being modular and not allow too many mistakes there. These were the reasons why his client advised bet on open source, moreover, is supported by a solid sotware editor as well as a large community of users.
Danone, which remains a major customer of SAP in the world, is pleased with the change and is now proposing to develop a platform that synchronizes ERP solutions with the German giant.
